Gems of Wisdom To Help You Beat Frustration
By Dr. Norman Vincent Peale

The first is a word of advice from Cicero: "To live long, live slowly." And you might add, if one may presume to improve on Cicero, "To live well, live slowly."

The second is from Confucius: "The way of a superior man is threefold: virtuous, he is therefore free from anxiety; wise, he is therefore free from perplexity; bold, he is therefore free from fear."

Third, is a great thought from Robert Louis Stevenson: "Sit loosely in the saddle of life." Don't ride life too hard.

Fourth, St. Theresa's famous words, "Let nothing disturb you; let nothing frighten you; everything passes except God; God alone is sufficient."

And from Isaiah, "In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength."

And, finally, the words of Jesus, "My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

To these six I would add a seventh: "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts."

With this formula you not only can live with frustration you can master it. You can rule it by the peace of Christ in your heart.
