The Teachings of Jon
A Film by Jennifer Owensby

This film is an informative and inspiring reflection by a family of the impact on their lives of their child and brother, Jon, a 40 year old Down's syndrome man with the developmental age of two years.

The mother, father, two sisters and brother talk about how much they have learned from Jon. He is listed as Teacher, bringing them to a new set of life perspectives, new value systems and a re-evaluation of what is really important.

Jon and the family are shown in interaction during the 57 minute program. Jon is seen at home, at work , at school and at play. It is a moving insight into the life of the family with implications for how we relate to other challenged people and to those commonly labeled as normal.  See more at the web site: www.teachingsofjon.com .
