And a little child shall lead them

"Don't be afraid"

A mother writes, “I also wanted to share the latest Ella story with you. She is at her little table in the kitchen with her stuffed animals on chairs with her. She starts praying with them and ends it with ‘Remember, God is always with you so don't be afraid.’ Isn't that just the greatest thing?!  Brought tears to my eyes.”

A beautiful countenance

The Children’s Educator took 10 elementary children to the local Alzheimer unit to sing pumpkin carols. It was great! I practiced with the children, asking them to hold the person's hand and make the sign of the cross on their hand, while saying God blesses you.

At first they didn't want to hold the patients’ hands, but I kept gently encouraging them and it got easier. Some kids blessed several of the patients. They got into the swing of it!

I watched the faces of a couple of the patients...who extended their hands to the little child again and again...a beautiful countenance came over their face...just radiant!

We keep practicing giving blessings!
